Skateboarding history was made over the weekend when Elliot Sloan landed the first-ever tailgrab 900. He performed the extremely difficult maneuver, which involved spinning a 900-degree rotation while using one hand to reach back and grab the tail of his skateboard, on the mini-megaramp during the Maloof Money Cup in Kimberly, South Africa. Elliot Sloan landed the first-ever 900 tailgrab on a MiniMega ramp at the Maloof Money Cup in Kimberly, South Africa.
In front of an wildly hyped crowd, who were getting to see the MiniMega Ramp for the first time in person, Sloan joined skateboarding’s exclusive 900 club. He attempted the trick unsuccessfully several times during the jam session but finally landed the 900 before the buzzer sounded.

From out of nowhere amateur Ishod Wair claimed the Maloof Money Cup Skateboarding World Championships title and $100,000 cash in Kimberley, South Africa. Equally surprising was hometown favorite Tommy Fynn, born in Durban, South Africa, beating Ryan Decenzo in the semi finals for a shot at the title, but fell just short of Wair and claimed second place and $40,000.
