Look at me, even my brain is a day ahead of the rest of my body! Okay, so the Europeskate Photo Of The Day for February 28th 2011 is going live a day early but I’m trying to work faster on the site so here’s the proof for you. Huge flip to fakie carried out by Kelvin Hofler and captured on digital media by Fernando Martins (check out his Flickr gallery here!).

I’ve been pretty much on the lazy side with Europeskate this week so before the new work week starts, I’m going to get a bunch of new video clips and news on the site for your Sunday convenience. And later this afternoon / early evening I’ll be back in the park for my bowl/vert session…the early morning session in the cold made me feel my old joints as they didn’t really want to move.
Enough of my personal stories: kicking it off this Sunday is a video trailer for the upcoming Sheffield, United Kingdom skateboarding scene video entitled “Brass Monkey” with looks like it’s packed with a lot of good skating and malarkey we all want to see. Filmed and edited by James Cruickshank!

I’m back in here bright and early on Saturday morning, the sun is rising and I’m enjoying my morning coffee with the final episode of the King Of The Road 2010 tour video – Grant Taylor rips and grinds some really tight and difficult backyard pools, Cory Kennedy makes my jaw go slack with his technical wizardry and we all get to see who takes first place. Full length video coming soon which will be more than worth getting!

“The good, the bad and the ugly.” That is the song that Sean Sheffey used in Life skateboards’ 1991 classic video “A Soldier’s Story.” What a prophetic musical choice that would turn out to be. Sheffey has lived a life few could dream of. Achieving fame and notoriety by the age of 18, it wasn’t long…

At 28, Alien Workshop’s Mikey Taylor is a young man but he may seem like a veteran considering his first major video part, in the City Stars film “Street Cinema,” came out over 10 years ago. Since then, Taylor’s kept it moving right along, always producing good photos and footage. As Taylor’s grown up…

We delve into the HUCK archives to revisit our feature on the veteran pro that is Lance Mountain.
Says Mountain: “Falling hurts more and it takes longer to heal. So you’re not as aggressive as you get older. I skate with two or three friends to have fun, and I have to skate a contest, or shoot a photo or video to push myself to try anything now that I’m older. It’s sad to say but it’s true. Still, that’s much better than not doing it at all.”
Check out the full feature in HUCK#013 in our Digital Archive.
