Chaz Proves He Is Composed Beyond His Years

Posted on September 22, 2010 with Comments Off

What was the biggest mistake you made when you were sixteen? If you’ve yet to reach that age, then what is the biggest mistake you’ve made so far in life. For most people the list of big mistakes in their sixteenth year goes something like: bad grades in school, a fender bender in your parents car, or maybe getting caught experimenting with some substances. For a few of you on the high end of the gnar scale it could be the creation of a life, or a jail stint of some sort. But for the most..

Reynolds vs. Dollin In Backstage Skate

Posted on September 22, 2010 with Comments Off

Ever wonder what goes on backstage when a band full of pro skateboarders is playing. Of course games of skate, duh. Check this game out Dustin Dollin vs. Goat guitar player, Andrew Reynolds, getting their S.A.T.E. backstage at a Goat show. Dustin seems like he had a few drinks, and Reynolds doesn’t drink, so it was like Drunkard vs. Sobered. Dollin purposely breaks the board, and claims he won. Check it:

Overkill By Jamie Thomas

Posted on September 22, 2010 with Comments Off

A year or so ago INsight clothing became part of the Black Box Distribution family. Translation: Enter The Chief, aka Jamie Thomas. If there’s one thing he knows how to do it’s skateboard and keep a a skateboard company in the black, in more ways than one.

Thomas started Zero skateboards more than a decade ago, which was followed by Black Box Distribution in 2000, and the rest is history. Fast-forward ten years and the distribution company is going strong with brands such as:..

Music Tip: OFF! Featuring Keith Morris

Music Tip: OFF! Featuring Keith Morris

I’m sure that I have a pretty narrow “target group” with the music recommendations I post on Europeskate but it’s the music I’m into so I won’t be venturing off into electronic wastelands or trying to show you how down I am with hip hop etc. Just mostly guitars, drums and loud vocals for me.

I just found OFF!, a great band which was formed in Los Angeles, California in late 2009 by Circle Jerks/Black Flag singer Keith Morris, Burning Brides frontman Dimitri Coats, Redd Kross bassist Steven Shane McDonald, and Rocket From The Crypt/Hot Snakes drummer Mario Rubalcaba. This means A LOT of experience gathered in one band and I have to say, if the video to “Upside Down” is a good representation of the rest of the music that these guys are putting together for their 2010 autumn release entitled “First Four EPs” (the collection contains sixteen songs divided amongst four releases), I’m already excited to get my hands on the goods!

The video features skating from the Slave Skateboards team by the way…
