Michael Mackrodt Fishing Lines in New York

Michael Mackrodt headed over to New York with Visual Travelling man Patrick Wallner (he’s in Thailand right now to film the next Preduce Skateboards video) to capture some lines in less-known spots of the city. Michael is always great to watch as he’s a speed demon with a huge bad of tricks and great style.

Aaron Homoki 360s The Gap At Marseille

Aaron Homoki made a stop with the Birdhouse team in Marseille, France a few days ago and – of course – made sure to hit the legendary concrete skatepark right next to the Mediterranean Sea which has attracted just about every top pro skater around. Following the steps of skaters no less than Omar Hassan and John Cardiel, Aaron flew over the main gap between the front flow area of the park into the second largest bowl with a huge 360 air!

If you’ve ever been there, you know how mad that is! Check out the Omar Hassan and John Cardiel videos as well to see how you can easily eat concrete trying this stunt…mad!

Cliché Andrew Brophy video

Posted on July 23, 2010 with Comments Off

Cliché Skateboards have just dropped their latest commercial, this time starring Andrew Brophy

The video sees Brophy show off his Keystone signature deck and prove he’s got more pop than a box of Rice Krispies (he’s ollied over 87 stacked boards before!).

As with the rest of Cliché’s videos, it’s all bathed in French Fred’s golden hazy glow, which makes us feel good…

…and want to buy their products. Seriously.

Tony Hawk Show in Brighton

Posted on July 23, 2010 with Comments Off

The Tony Hawk and Friends Show hit Brighton last night.

Tony Hawk was joined by Kevin Staab, Sandro Dias and Jesse Fritsch for a display of skate theatrics by the beach, all given a running comemntary from the gravel tones of old school skater Dave Duncan.

Says Hawk of the show: “I don’t think that the presentation we have makes [skateboarding] inaccessible. If anything, it gives it a chance to be seen live and on a professional level to people who may have never been exposed to it. We’re promoting the sport and getting more people into it by doing shows on this scale. The people who are more into the underground, hardcore side of skating will always have that and could care less about what we do. I feel skating is so diverse and so big that it has all these factions. That doesn’t change what we do. It makes us strive to do it better because we don’t have to make a living doing something else.”

And here’s our small snapshot of what went down…
