Heading into the Skateboarding Vert at X Games 16 all the pre-event hype was focused on Shaun White’s long-awaited return to the skateboard halfpipe. The golden boy of the Vancouver games was hoping to come back and put on a show…which he did. But White was outdone by skateboarding’s most dominant vert rider today, Pierre Luc-Gagnon, aka PLG, who took home two gold medals from the Staples Center Friday night: Skateboard Vert and Best Trick.
All the while, the Canadian did all..

A few months back DVS released a web video called Weekend at Marty’s, with the whole Weekend at Bernie’s colorway. Pretty much Marty Murawski gave you a tour of his stomping grounds. Well, apparently it’s going to be a series because today DVS dropped Weekend at Torey’s, as in Torey Pudwill and his home in the valley, Tarzana, CA to be exact. Check it out:

Good thing that skateboarding never gets boring – always changing, new influences, new and old companies plus a never-ending flow of new talented skaters to keep the great vibe going strong.
While going through the Europeskate mail yesterday evening, I came across one from Michael representing Stacks, a clothing and skateboard company out of Los Angeles, California which I haven’t heard of even though Reese Forbes skates for them AND them being around since the year 2000. They have some excellent designs going on which stand out from many other companies which had me wanting more! So excuse my ignorance and welcome Sebo Walker as their new am skater on the team with this welcome video! Oh yeah, check out their site here…
About Stacks:
In 2000, Stacks began making small runs of t-shirts and skateboards in Los Angeles. Stacks grew organically and attracted a following of artists and skateboarders worldwide. The brand embodied the creative side of skateboarding, and became an influential part of west coast visual culture.
In 2010, Stacks founder Michael Leon partnered with skateboarding legend Reese Forbes to relaunch as an authentic skate brand with a new focus on quality, style, attention to detail, and authenticity. Combining world class skateboarding, the finest hardgoods craftsmanship and the graphic heritage of Stacks, they set out to create a more refined perspective on the skateboarder’s lifestyle.

Brian Anderson and Bastien Salabanzi tied for 10th place in the Skateboard Street elimination round at X Games. The judging was based on each rider’s best run out of five and, somehow, Salabanzi and Anderson had the exact same score. After some initial confusion, a decision was made. We talked to the…

Filmmaker Beige Paisley has put together this unofficial video to Step Panther’s Fight Like a Knight tune.
The video is a compilation of some seriously old-school skateboarding – way before even fat shoes, baggy pants and Shorty’s!
There’s slalom, freestyle and more kneepads than a carpetfitters’ convention but all compliment Step Panther’s sunny SoCal vibes perfectly.
Those cannonball ollies type things need a comeback…
