Mike Vallely has signed a contract to play professional ice hockey for Connecticut-based FHL club, The Danbury Whalers .

The veteran pro skater is about to become the world’s oldest ice hockey rookie at 40 when he makes his debut for the club this autumn.

Vallely is noted for being a keen hockey fan and had a partnership with the Anaheim Ducks. This was until he got into a crowd brawl last November.
