For this, the third installment of The Maloof Money Cup Contenders Spotlight I give you Torey Pudwill. He finished forth in last year’s Money Cup, with many, including myself, feeling he was robbed. Skaters Show Their Sculpture Appreciation

The makers of Mpora have put together a collection of skate photos showing skaters putting their skills to work on pieces of art which were in most cases were created to make people stand, look, contemplate, have ideas – not ride, slide, grind and flip a plank of wood with wheels under it. Maybe that’s why skaters are some of the most underrated artists and creative individuals around.

Adapting the general environment to our needs and using the materials at hand (or foot) to create some new, different and fun to look at – man, we’re moving sculptures and I need to stop writing this stuff! Click here to have a look at the skaters enjoying sculptures!

‘Skateistan: To Live and Skate in Kabul’ teaser

Grain Media have recently shot a documentary about the Skateistan project in Afghanistan.

The film documents the school in Kabul that teaches street kids how to skate as well as offering them wider education and guidance.

Skateistan: To Live and Skate in Kabul is part of the Diesel New Voices campaign and will be appearing at a number of documentary festivals in the autumn.

Real Skateboards have just released their Summer ‘10 catalogue for your viewing pleasure.

But it’s worth checking out for more than a selection of new sticks including a Haiti benefit deck and Dennis Busenitz’ Creativity Explored charity deck.

There’s also some quality video content from the team including Chima Ferguson’s Lost Days and Throwaways Video Log and behind-the-scenes of (the massive underated) Peter Ramondetta’s new advert.

How Ramondetta is still walking after that is a mystery?!
