Skateboarding’s New League

Skateboarding has a new competitive outlet. Rob Dyrdek and the contest series he founded, Street League Series, announced on Wednesday that, “for the first time in history,” skateboarding will have a “professional league.” The idea is to have the best skateboarders the world has to offer competing “head-to-head” in a circuit, or a “series of individual stops.” It’s all set to go down this summer, the year 2010.
