Street League Skateboarding

Pro skater Rob Dyrdek has announced the launch of a new street skate competition called Street League Skateboarding.
This league will see pros compete head-to-head in a three contest series this summer starting in Glendale, Arizona on August 28 with comps in Ontario, California on September 11 and Las Vegas on September 25.
Pros already signed up to battle it out for over $1 million USD include Chris Cole, Ryan Sheckler, Mike Mo Capaldi and Paul Rodriguez.
Says Dyrdek: “It has been a dream of mine to create a professional tour that bridges the gap between true street skateboarding and contest skating, which to date has been fragmented and misguided. Street League is more than just a new contest series; it will redefine the way skateboarding competitions are done.â€
The comps will take place in sports arenas fitted out with concrete plazas and will feature real-time scoringof the runs in order to “tell a compelling story about each skateboarder’s performance and will have fans on the edge of their seats from the first trick to the very last.”
