Nomad Skateboards 10th Anniversary Board Series With Iconblast

Nomad Skateboards out of Spain kick off their 10th anniversary with a collaberation deck series with Colombian designer Iconblast.

And what a deck series! The limited editon is made up of four decks in red / yellow /orange color range with the bunny rabbit design being my personal favorite. I recommend taking some time to check out the team website and some of their videos which do a lot more talking than any words I write.

Here’s what the people behind Nomad Skateboards have to say about the collaboration with Iconblast (and yes, it’s not perfect English and yes, I didn’t correct it because it’s their words – I don’t speak perfect Spanish either and I like to leave people’s expressions alone.):

Why Icon Blast?

We celebrate our 10th anniversary; we are in the preparation different things with different people. Since the beginning, the philosophy of Nomad was created thanks to the skateboard scene obviously, but also thanks to the music or the art. Since the beginning we have collaborated with brilliant people for sharing their talent with everyone. Some of those who started their career with us are really well-known and unfortunately, it is not the case for all of them.

What we wanted for our 10th anniversary is someone new in Europe. Thanks to common friends, we got in touch with Icon Blast, we have always appreciated his work, and we found him really close to the spirit of Nomad: Freedom, Vitality, Irony and Strength.

Moreover he is Columbian, and as we are a Spanish company, a lot of things are linking us; some of them are extremely deep and hard to explain.

We were asked in some occasions the meaning of his boards. It means what you want. Nomad gives the liberty to the artist expressions. You can ask to Icon Blast immediately: http://www.iconblast.com/
