In the second year of Beauty and the Beast, the title, “The Honeymoon’s Over” is pretty fitting, considering Malto had to dip out due to elbow injuries, Alex Olson had to head to NY for Andy Kessler’s unfortunate passing and Mike Carroll got a spider bite that became infected with Streph. Pretty much proof that the honeymoon is over, if you ask me. But, I can attest to the fact that Beauty and the Beast 2 the video, which is out now, does not share this alleged loss of magic. Say you wouldn’t…say you wouldn’t take some serious dough to flip your hair a few times and skate a little. That’s kind of what I thought when I saw Corey Duffel in this Paul Mitchell ad. Thrash metal deluxe band “Municipal Waste” out of Richmond, Virginia get a spot over on Thrasher Magazine’s website with an interview by Jordan Joseffer. Read it right here, check out their music and if you like it, they brought out their latest recording “Massive Aggressive” just in August 2009 and on top of that they have been really busy touring – the next European tour starts January 19th 2010 in Amsterdam!

This one is for all of you vert skaters out there – looking back in the past is always a fun thing to do, especially with skateboading as it has changed, been redefined and has attracted new skaters to ride the ever growing vert ramps besides the old school skaters. Here’s a bunch of videos from back in 1991 at the SUAS in Houston, Texas with Lance Mountain, Mike Frazier, Bod Boyle, Darren Menditto, Omar Hassan, Dave Le Roux, Remy Stratton, Tony Hawk, Bod Boyle, Darren Menditto, Omar Hassan, Remy Stratton, Buster Halterman, Chris Gentry, Eric Nash, Chris Miller and many others ripping it back when some of you guys out there didn’t even know how to spell skateboard

Great mix of bowls, banks, street, ramps, bails and stay-ons which all combine to make this one video I have on my list of “Must See and Buy” videos! It has been a few weeks since the World Cup Of Skateboarding Nescau street contest at the Copacabana in Brazil. If you haven’t heard yet then I’ll tell you: Milton Martinez out of Argentina took first place with Lucas Carvalho going with second and Rodolfo Ramos ripping to third. The street course did have some unusual contest obstacles which makes this video good to watch – and Portuguese is just such a beautiful language!
